Workplace Violence / Police Emergencies

In the event of a violent situation occurring anywhere on the property where emergency police assistance is required such as a physical confrontation or fight in progress, a hostage situation, an “Active Shooter” situation or any other crime being committed on the premises where the act of or threat of immediate danger is taking place, the following actions should be taken:

Call the police by dialing 9-1-1 from a safe location and report the situation. Contact Building Security at 312-917-4330 and advise them of the situation so that they may begin to contain the situation and assist the police department upon arrival. Evacuate your floor only if you are in immediate danger and it is safe to do so otherwise take shelter in a secured room and protect yourself until further notice by the police or security personnel.
